CZ124
CZ124, a free machining brass alloy resulting from the fusion of copper and zinc, exhibits the highest level of machinability among all copper alloys, serving as the benchmark for comparison. CZ124 Brass is renowned for its strength and corrosion resistance, closely resembling steel properties, making it a widely used copper alloy today. Achieving precision in machining with CZ124 Brass is a straightforward task. Although ductile when softened, CZ124 Brass remains robust and retains its strength even under demanding conditions. CZ124 Brass develops a thin protective “patina,” distinct from steel and iron, which prevents rust formation when exposed to the atmosphere. Due to its high density, CZ124 Brass is particularly suitable for fabricating heavy industrial components. The refined polished finish is also a valued trait of CZ124 Brass. This versatile material is available in various forms, including rounds, flats, squares, hexagons, shapes, and hollows.
