Both CuZn30 and CuZn28 alloys exhibit a combination of outstanding cold forming capabilities and solid mechanical strength. CuZn30 stands out for its good hot forming characteristics and exceptional soldering and brazing properties. These attributes, particularly the exceptional deep drawing capabilities of CuZn30 and the other two alloys mentioned, have earned them the monikers “deep-draw” or “cartridge” brass.
