C27400
UNS C27400, commonly referred to as yellow brass, consists of a copper content of at least 62%. CuZn37 serves as the primary brass alloy for cold forming processes. Although brasses with lower zinc content exhibit improved cold forming properties, CuZn37 remains the preferred alloy for several compelling reasons. Firstly, its use is economically advantageous, as zinc is more cost-effective than copper. Secondly, the forming characteristics of this alloy align with the requirements of numerous applications, making it a practical and widely adopted choice.
