C36000

36000 (HO2) Free machining brass is a copper-zinc alloy that stands out for its exceptional machinability among all other copper alloys. It serves as the benchmark against which other alloys are compared. 360 Brass, recognized for its strength and corrosion resistance comparable to steel, enjoys widespread use as a copper alloy today. This material, 360 Brass, can be easily subjected to precision machining. Despite being ductile when in a softened state, 360 Brass remains robust and maintains its strength even in highly demanding conditions. Unlike steel and iron, 360 Brass develops a thin protective “patina” that prevents rusting when exposed to atmospheric conditions. Due to its high density, 360 Brass is particularly well-suited for manufacturing heavy industrial parts. Additionally, its highly polished finish is highly appreciated. Rounds, flats, squares, hexagons, tubes, plates, and sheets are among the various forms in which 360 Brass is available.
