Naval Brass, a copper-zinc alloy in a 60:40 ratio, incorporates approximately 1% tin to enhance its corrosion resistance, particularly countering dezincification. The alloy embodies a two-phase alpha-beta brass structure, resulting in notable strength albeit with slightly reduced ductility. This alloy is well-suited for applications involving hot forging, pressing, and machining.
